2. What data we process

Browsing data. Like any website, the server hosting www.benallestimenti.com automatically logs some technical data about requests (IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time). This is needed to run the site and protect it from abuse.

Contact form data. If you write to us through the website form we collect: company, first and last name, email, phone, subject and message. The data reaches us by email at info@benallestimenti.it and is used only to reply to you.

Visit statistics (Matomo). To know how many people visit the site and which pages they read, we use Matomo, installed on our own server. Matomo is configured without cookies, with a shortened IP address (the last two blocks are removed) and without linking the data to other sources. The data is not shared with third parties and is used only for aggregate statistics.

Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA). The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3. The service is activated only when you start filling in the form: visitors who browse without using it are not connected to Google. reCAPTCHA analyses some technical information about the browser and the interaction to tell people apart from automated programs. The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Map (Contacts page). The map uses OpenStreetMap and loads only if you click to accept it. At that moment your browser connects to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which receive your IP address in order to send the map images.

WhatsApp. The WhatsApp button is a simple link: no data is sent to WhatsApp until you click it. From then on, WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies.

Social networks. The links to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks are plain links: the site does not load buttons or content from these services.

3. Why we process data and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your requests for information or quotes: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your consent is therefore not required: the checkbox in the form only confirms that you have read this notice.
  • Operation and security of the site, spam protection: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Anonymous, aggregate visit statistics: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Displaying the map: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may refuse without any effect on the use of the site.
  • Compliance with legal obligations, such as tax obligations: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Providing the form data is optional, but without the required fields we cannot reply to you.

4. How long we keep data

  • Contact form requests: for as long as needed to handle the request and any business relationship that follows; they are then deleted, except for documents we are legally required to keep.
  • Browsing data: for the technical period set by the hosting provider.
  • Matomo statistics: in aggregate form and with a shortened IP address.

5. Who may receive the data

  • Aruba S.p.A., which hosts the site, as data processor.
  • The provider of our business email service, for emails received through the form.
  • Google Ireland Limited, for the reCAPTCHA service. Google may transfer data to the United States; Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • The OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom, a country covered by an EU adequacy decision), only if you agree to load the map.

We do not sell or disclose your data and we do not use it for profiling or advertising.

6. Your rights

You may at any time request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Write to info@benallestimenti.it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
