Custom exhibition stands and trade fair set-ups
Since 1989 Ben Allestimenti has designed and built exhibition stands for companies, agencies and architecture firms. We work from Milan, with our own production workshop in Magenta, and follow every project from the first idea to opening day: design, production, technical coordination, logistics and on-site installation. One point of contact for the whole process, in Italy and across Europe.
From design to installation
Design and 3D rendering
We start from the exhibitor’s goals, the allocated space and the trade fair’s regulations. On this basis we develop layout, materials, graphics and lighting, and present the project with photorealistic 3D renderings, so you can see the stand before it is built. From this stage we also work on the budget: we show where it is worth investing, what can be reused and which alternatives achieve the same result at a lower cost.
Production in our own workshop
The stand elements are made in our workshop in Magenta: timber structures, walls, custom furniture and finishes. Producing in-house lets us control quality, timing and details, and react quickly if the project changes along the way.
Technical coordination
We coordinate everything the stand needs to work: electrical systems and lighting, large-format graphics, LED walls and audio/video, furniture and special fittings. We also coordinate the technical documentation required for the set-up and support the client with the procedures required by the exhibition centre.
Logistics
We organise transport, loading and delivery of materials to the fair, in line with the access slots set by the exhibition centre. After the event we handle the return of materials and, where agreed, the storage and reuse of elements for future editions.
Build-up and dismantling
We plan and manage build-up and dismantling, coordinating the crews and suppliers involved and supervising every stage on site, until the stand is handed over ready for opening. Our job is to make sure that what was designed is built faithfully, on time and in line with the exhibition centre’s rules.
Stands at Fiera Milano Rho, in Italy and across Europe
Milan is our base: we work regularly at Fiera Milano Rho, at shows such as MADE expo and MIDO, and we know the venue’s timings, access and procedures first-hand. We also build stands at Italy’s other main exhibition centres, such as Bologna, Padua and Ravenna, and support companies at European trade fairs, managing design, production and travel just as we would for a fair in Italy.
For companies, agencies and architecture firms
For exhibiting companies we offer a complete service, from the first idea to dismantling, with a single point of contact for the whole project.
For communication agencies, event organisers and architecture firms we act as technical and production partner: we start from their concept, develop the construction details, produce it and oversee its build-up at the fair, respecting the original idea and their relationship with their client.
We are not a labour-only supplier: we are an exhibition company that designs, produces and coordinates.
Small and medium stands, custom or modular
We mainly build small and medium-sized stands, up to around 300–400 m². They can be fully custom-made, with timber structures and bespoke finishes, or modular, using Octanorm, Maxima and Solita Elite systems: faster to assemble and reusable from one fair to the next. The two approaches are often combined, to get both speed and character.
The right choice depends on your goals: if you exhibit at several fairs a year, a reusable structure adapted each time may be the best fit; if you are launching a new product or brand, a one-off stand designed for that occasion may work better. We help you weigh up the best solution.
